Using a Kanji as a Radical: Pivot Radical 軍

kanjipivotlogo-2

I analyzed all 2,136 joyo kanji and discovered that some kanji themselves can be used as radicals to assist in learning other kanji.  You can leverage the kanji that you know to learn other kanji.  Study the sample below and see if this method is easy and effective for you.

A powerful feature that I added to help with my frustration is the English to Japanese tool on the back of every Kanji Card. Simply tap the English word and it will provide you with a vocabulary list of Japanese translations so that you can instantly see that 軍 is not the only kanji for army in Japanese. In fact, Japanese use アーミー and 兵 (ヘイ)for army under certain circumstances

And you can explore tangents or descendants by exploring the pivot radicals on any card.

This is a precise way to study related and unrelated kanji.
